Murphy Bed Compare

How We Verify Specs

Every bed in the database carries a source URL and a check date. The specs in our tables were read from that page on that date. That is the whole method, and it is stricter than it sounds: no spec enters the database from a review roundup, a retailer listing or memory.

What the dash means

When a manufacturer does not publish a number, the table shows a dash. We do not estimate, interpolate or copy a figure from a third party. A dash is an honest answer. If a spec matters to your decision and the row shows a dash, ask the manufacturer before buying, or check the source link on the bed's page in case they have since published it.

Check dates

Manufacturers change specs, prices and warranties without notice. The check date on each bed's page tells you how fresh our reading is. We re-verify on a rolling basis and the date only changes when a human actually re-reads the source.

Commercial and editorial claims never merge

If a bed is ever promoted for commercial reasons it will be labeled as such. That label will never imply its specs were verified more deeply than others. A spec source and check date cannot be bought.
