A powder-coated steel frame with no cabinet, meant for a closet or a bare wall. Every dimension above assumes an 8 inch mattress, and Depot is explicit that depth and projection grow with mattress thickness, roughly mattress plus 6 to 7 inches, so treat them as a floor. The mattress has to be rigid enough to stand on end without folding. Depot lists the frame between $499 and $679 without saying which size is which, so we show no per-size price.

Forgetting the bed has to tilt through the ceiling
A vertical bed swings up through an arc, so it needs slightly more headroom than the closed cabinet height suggests. Sloped ceilings and low light fittings are the usual casualties.
Buying the mattress first
Murphy beds cap mattress thickness because the mattress has to fold into the cabinet with the bed. This one stops at 11 inches. A mattress bought before the bed is the most common expensive mistake in this category.
Anchoring into drywall alone
A wall mounted bed transfers real load into the wall. Studs or solid blocking are not optional, and finding them before delivery day saves an unhappy afternoon.
